About Emma M

Emma M is a small new Irish brand founded by Florence de Maric.

I have always been passionate about aesthetics, colours and creative projects. I desired my children’s things to go together perfectly, from hand knitted blankets and swaddles to towels, bibs and pillows. Strikingly positive response from friends, family and people around me gave me confidence to present my work to wider audience. What started as a play at home is becoming a collection of high quality, sustainable and responsibly made baby and child accessories.

Inspired by beautiful Irish nature and my daughter Emma, I create most adorable eco-friendly and cosy baby and kids goods, accessories and decorations. Beauty and practicality are at the core of my design process. Combining creativity and minimalism, I mostly use monochrome palettes with different textures. Crafting my collection has been fulfilling creative process and bringing it before the world is a dream come true.

​Relationship between art and craft, and a hint of Scandinavian design you see and experience in each and every of my creations. Special attention was given to combination of pastel colours and textures. My products are multipurpose and grow with the family, collecting stories and memories along the way. They encourage curiosity, provoke imagination and stimulate children’s senses in every interaction.

I believe that we can make the world a better place by taking care of our children and our planet. My products are made of natural, eco-friendly materials, mostly cotton, wool and wood. By upcycling and recycling everything that comes into my studio, I treat the environment with care and ensure that everything I make has several purposes.

I hope people will recognize and appreciate real handcrafted products from finest natural materials.
